Model Plane Kit, The Crow
While this model airplane kit is decidedly modern in design, surprisingly it dates from the early years of aviation innovation in Japan.
The Crow design was the first rubber band powered model plane to ever be built and flown in Japan. Designed and built in 1889, when its inventor based his model on the crow's wing span after studying them in flight.
This kit uses balsa wood, ultra light Styrofoam, rubber bands and 5 inches reverse pitch propellers. It has a wingspan of 16 inches and overall length of 18 inches. Complete illustrated instructions and glue are included.
Recommended for ages 7 years and older (younger with adult assistance).
