Are the toys you sell safe?Tiddley Widdley sells products only from companies with strict safety standards and testing procedures. We strive to ensure all the products we sell meet or exceed the strict EC Toy Safety Directive (European Standard EN-71), United States safety standards of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) as well as voluntary safety standards set forth by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). When you view a product in our store, look for the
symbol to know that the product has been tested and certified via the EC Toy Safety Directive (European Standard EN71). Do you sell toys manufactured in China and, if so, are they safe?
Yes, Tiddley Widdley does sell a limited number of products which are manufactured in China. As of August 2007, we have contacted each of the toy companies who manufacture products in China and have asked them to confirm that their products are made with non-toxic, lead-free paints or dyes, that they have been tested and that they are safe for children. Any company who was not able to make this statement to us has had their products removed from our web site. Where is each toy manufactured?
Here is a list of each company we buy from, where their products (i.e., toys, apparel, room accessories) are designed and the country where the product is actually made. To the best of our knowledge this information is up-to-date and accurate.
